New Lenox FPD Plans Live Burn Training For Weekend Of March 25

The New Lenox Fire Protection District will conduct a live burn training at a donated home in Mokena.

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Fire Protection District is letting residents know that it will be conducting a live burn training March 25-27, according to a news release from NLFPD.

The live burn training will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily during those days. The training will happen at a donated Mokena home, located in the 14000 block of West Maple Road.

Residents in the vicinity may see smoke in the area during that time. Also, U.S. Route 6 just west of Blodgett Road will have a heavy presence of fire equipment. The NLFPD is asking residents to avoid the area if possible.
