New Lenox Man, 33, Charged With DUI After Causing Crash: New Lenox PD
The crash happened Sunday evening on Illinois Highway.
NEW LENOX, IL — A New Lenox man was charged with DUI after police said he reportedly caused a crash involving two other vehicles.
Police were called around 6:30 p.m. Sunday to the 500 block of E. Illinois Highway for a report of a crash. Police said Steven Arthurs, 33, of New Lenox, veered into oncoming traffic while westbound on Illinois Highway, striking two other cars. No one was injured, police said. Illinois Highway was briefly closed near Tyler and Bentley schools while police investigated.
Arthurs was determined to be impaired and under the influence of alcohol, according to police reports.

He was taken into custody and transported to the NLPD, where he was processed and released.
