New Lenox Partnering With ShareFest To Give Away Toys, Home Goods

The Village of New Lenox will be handing out toys and home goods Saturday to residents through is partnership with ShareFest Will County.

NEW LENOX, IL — 'Tis the season of giving, and the Village of New Lenox has partnered with ShareFest Will County to help residents a little happier this holiday season.

The Village and ShareFest will be giving away free of charge toys and household items to the first 150 families that show up for the event, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Village Hall, 1 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann said. Lineup for the event starts at 7 a.m. outside the downstairs doors of the Village Hall.

The first 150 families that show up will be given a ticket, which they can use to pick out up to six toys and/or household items, according to information on the Village's website. No proof of need is required to receive items.

"Our partnership with ShareFest started years ago," Baldermann said. "It's really grown and blossomed. We're really proud of what they do, and we're happy to always partner with them."

ShareFest Will County is a not-for-profit organization, the purpose of which is to serve the needs of the Will County residents via resources for food, clothes, educational supplies, free healthcare, employment opportunities and environmental impact projects, according to information on its website.
