Police Blotter: Video Game Theft at Walmart, More

SATURDAY, AUG. 18

Suspended License

Jose Huerta, 40, of Joliet, was stopped in his vehicle after police conducted a random registration check in the 1800 block of West Route 30. Huerta was ticketed for driving on a suspended license.

FRIDAY, AUG. 17

Walmart Theft

Gene Wells, 18, of Joliet, was charged with retail theft after a complaint was filed by Walmart officials. Police say the store's security system was activated when Wells approached the door. Security personnel say they discovered he had $200 worth of video games that had not been paid for. Wells posted bond and was released.

Trespass to Vehicle

Police say a trespass to vehicle complaint was filed after a man in Rossford Lane noticed that someone had entered his car, rummaged around but took nothing.
