New Lenox, Start Your Engines: Cruise The Commons Set To Return May 17
The free event is scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month from May through September.
NEW LENOX, IL — The Village Commons in New Lenox will once again be a sea of chrome and steel when Cruise the Commons returns May 17.
Fans of classic cars can get their fix every third Tuesday of the month from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in May through September. Cruise the Commons is free to participate in and attend as a spectator, according to the Village of New Lenox.
No registration is required to participate; simply bring your hottest hot rod or coolest classic on down and enjoy in the fun.

A live DJ from Answer Back Entertainmentwill provide entertainment May 17. Other scheduled live entertainment includes:
- Music by Schtillrokken, June 21.
- Music by NXTLife, July 19.
- Music by Little Giant, Aug. 16.
- Music by Fifty One Lincoln Band, Sept. 16.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from the New Lenox Community Park District. Alcohol will be available for purchase in front of the Village Hall.

Food trucks from Lil' Deb's Mobile Eats and Smokin' Z BBQ will also be on-site May 17.
The Veterans Parkway ring road will be closed to thru traffic during Cruise the Commons. Parking will be available in the south lot of the Village Hall and behind Old Plank Trail Community Bank. The New Lenox Public Library District will be open during Cruise the Commons, so those attending the event are asked to avoid parking there.
As a reminder, no smoking is allowed during events at the Village Commons. Pets are also prohibited during events.
