What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

My most important priority if elected would be, providing the best possible education for our children and building the trust of the community that has elected me.

Why Are You Seeking Office?

I am seeking this office because the success of our schools is very important to me and my family

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I've lived in New Lenox for almost 30 years. I am a Cub Scout Den Leader for 18 energetic 1st Graders and a father with a son in District 122 schools.

How will you lend stability to the board?

Working together as a team and focuson the big picture. Clarify the districts purpose. Set a positive tone and respect each members role. Connect with the community.

How will you work to balance the budget?

We can balance the budget with strategic planning, setting common goals and monitor spending.

How will you represent all taxpayers in the district?

To represent all taxpayers in the district I would like to improve communication and the connection between the board and the community.
I'd also like to see the board work together and focus on the children and the spending of our tax dollars wisely to get the best and proper education the children.

There are eight candidates running for 4-year terms. 

The incumbents for the 4-year term are: 

  1. Patrick Martino, incumbent
  2. Deborah Kedzior, incumbent
  3. Sue Smith, incumbent
  4. William Pender, who was initially appointed in August to fill the remaining  two years of a term left by resigning Member Sue Gillooley.

The four newcomers are:

  1. Thomas Hottinger
  2. Philip Adair
  3. Gregory Loock
  4. Rhonda Starklauf

The candidates running for a 2-year term are:

  1. Kathy Miller (incumbent)
  2. Todd Hyatt (write-in candidate)
