Old Man Says New Lenox Road Boss Knocked Him Down, Picked Him Up By Collar, Pushed Him Out of Garage
The New Lenox Township road commissioner's trial for allegedly attacking two men started Wednesday.

An 83-year-old man told how he was knocked to the ground by the New Lenox Township road commissioner, who then grabbed him by the collar and belt and pushed him out of a garage.
“Don’t f--k with me, you don’t f--k with me, you don’t know who you’re f--king with,” James Haddon said Road Commissioner Dennis McPartlin shouted at him as he roughly removed him from as section of the township garage.
Haddon had gone to the garage in February 2015 with neighbor Dennis Baldauf because they suspected a township snowplow had struck and damaged their mailboxes.

McPartlin, 66, was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly attacking both Haddon and the 64-year-old Baldauf. His trial started Wednesday and Haddon testified.
Haddon told how Baldauf stopped by his house and told him of the damaged mailboxes. Haddon said he then called the township office and a woman invited him to stop by and file a report. Baldauf drove them over, he said, and he brought along a piece of what he believed was from the fender of a red truck that he found by his mailbox.

When they got to the township garage, McPartlin appeared and told him, “There’s nothing wrong with my effing trucks. My trucks aren’t effing damaged. Don’t eff with me,” Haddon said.
Asked to clarify, Haddon explained that McPartlin actually said, “F--king” and not “effing.”
Haddon said that after he compared his piece of fender to one of the trucks in the garage, McPartlin hit him in the shoulder, sending him down to one knee. McPartlin then lifted him up by the collar and the back of his pants and shoved him out of the garage, he said.
Baldauf called out for McPartlin to stop, Haddon said. McPartlin then grabbed Baldauf by the collar and shook him, he said.
Haddon and Baldauf are suing McPartlin over the alleged attack.
McPartlin’s trial was scheduled to continue Thursday.
