Police Chase Ends With Arrest In New Lenox Township: Police

The 25-year-old man from Glendale Heights was arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle.

NEW LENOX, IL — Illinois State Police man arrested a man in New Lenox Township Tuesday after he led police on a chase in a stolen vehicle, ISP reported Wednesday.

Terrence N. Reed Jr., 25, of Glendale Heights, was charged with aggravated unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest, according to ISP.

At 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, ISP was alerted to a stolen vehicle that was being tracked by a Chicago Police Department helicopter, according to ISP. Police said the stolen vehicle was connected to ATM burglaries in Elmhurst and Dolton, as well as aggravated fleeing and eluding.

Reed led officers in a chase that ended when Reed abandoned the vehicle in the area of Francis Road at Woodside Drive in New Lenox Township and police caught him after a brief foot pursuit, according to ISP.

Reed was arrested and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility, ISP said.
