Providence Grad Finds New Confidence in College Wrestling
After a tough start to the year, New Lenox native Eddie Kilmara is back on the mat, and with a vengeance.

Providence Catholic High School graduate Eddie Klimara is used to being the best.
The two-time state champion and four-time finalist came off of a 154-5 high school career record when he signed with Oklahoma State University, reports the Daily O’Collegian.
College has proven to be a much different animal, though, until fairly recently. Unfamiliar settings and much tougher competition seemed to take a toll on the freshman Cowboy, and his mounting losses reflected it. But all of that changed after respectable losses to the two top wrestlers in his weight class. Rather than hang his head low, Kilmara found a new confidence within himself seldom seen in other athletes his age.
Since then, Kilmara has been racking up the wins. Most notably, Kilmara took the 125-pound Big 12 title and earned a spot in the NCAA Championships. He also walked away with a 3-2 record helping Oklahoma State take second.
