Quiet Santa Photos Available During New Lenox Christmas In The Commons

Parents of special needs children can make arrangements to have their child's photo taken with Santa during the December festivities.

NEW LENOX, IL — As the annual New Lenox Christmas In The Commons festival prepares to kick off later this week, local residents and their children can also get ready for an opportunity to have their photo taken with Santa as part of the festivities.

Village officials announced that Santa will be available for photos through the Christmas In The Commons events, which will be held on weekends leading up to the holidays.

Among the events planned is a holiday light display that will run along with a 50-foot-tall lighted Santa, a holiday market, ice skating, horse-drawn carriages, and reindeer.

Santa will be set up in the Village Hall and residents will be able to snap their own photo with St. Nick.

This year, the village has announced that they will also offer Quiet Santa visits for parents of special needs children. Organizers said if parents have children that have difficulty standing in lines or around crowds, they can set up a special photo session to accommodate those parents and make sure that children get photos with Santa.
