Resisting Arrest, DUI, Retail Theft: New Lenox Police Reports
New Lenox police reports for Jan. 22 through Feb. 13.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.
Jan. 28
- Scott E. Williamson, 52, of Joliet, and Julie C. Davis, 40, of Lockport, were charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart at 501 E. Lincoln Highway for a report of a retail theft. Upon arrival, the officer learned that Williamson and Davis stole approximately $1099.87 worth of merchandise from the store. Both Williamson and Davis were arrested and taken to the NLPD. Williamson and Davis were then taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

- Justin A. Burns, 40, of Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the area of U.S. Route 30 and Interstate 80 for a report of an accident. The officer arrived on scene and met with the parties involved. The officer learned that Burns had a revoked driver’s license. Burns was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Burns posted bond and was released.
Feb. 6
- James M. Arentz, 45, of Homer Glen, was charged with DUI. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the area of Cedar Road and U.S. Route 6 for a report of a vehicle off the roadway. The officer arrived on scene and made contact with the driver, Arentz. The officer learned that Arentz was driving under the influence of alcohol. Arentz was arrested and taken to NLPD. Arentz posted bond and was released.

- Shaquille D. Eubanks, 25, of Tinley Park, was charged with criminal trespass to property, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to Walmart at 501 E. Lincoln Highway for a report of a man causing a disturbance and would not leave the store. Officers arrived and met with an employee, who directed officers to Eubanks. Eubanks initially resisted arrest but was then arrested without further incident. Eubanks was taken to NLPD. Eubanks was then taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
Feb. 8
- Pamela J. Levey, 51, of Mokena, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart at 501 E. Lincoln Highway for a report of retail theft. Upon arrival, the officer learned that Levey stole approximately $181.02 worth of merchandise from the store. The officer learned that Levey left the store before their arrival. The officers later met with Levey at her residence, where she was arrested and taken to NLPD. Levey posted bond and was released.
Feb. 12
- Darius L. Betts, 37, of Country Club Hills, was charged with driving while license suspended and possession of cannabis. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the Michael’s Warehouse at 2400 W. Haven Ave. for a report of a terminated employee, Betts, causing a disturbance. The officer arrived on scene and learned that Betts had just left the area in his vehicle. The officer located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The officer met with Betts and learned that he did not possess a valid drivers license. The officer also found Betts to be in possession of cannabis unlawfully. Betts was arrested and taken to NLPD. Betts posted bond and was released.
