Robbery In New Lenox During Meet-Up Sale: Police
The robbery occurred Thursday at the Food N Fuel on U.S. Route 6 and Cedar Road, according to police.
NEW LENOX, IL — A person was robbed Thursday morning during a meet-up for a privately arranged sale, according to New Lenox Police Deputy Chief Micah Nuesse.
The robbery happened at the Food N Fuel at U.S. Route 6 and Cedar Road, where the two parties had previously arranged to meet, according to police.
During that exchange, the robber kept the merchandise and did not pay for it, according to police. No weapons were displayed or used during the robbery, police said.

Police said that neither party was from New Lenox. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
The New Lenox Police Department set up an "Internet Purchase Exchange Location" in 2016 located at the police department, located at 1 Veterans Parkway, which is under video surveillance 24-hours a day. The New Lenox Police Department encourages people conducting exchanges arranged on the internet to use this location as the spot to meet.
