Stolen Motor Vehicle, DUI, Retail Theft: New Lenox Police Reports

New Lenox police reports for Nov. 7 through Nov. 22.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.


Nov. 10

  • James N. Lipscomb, 23, of Country Club Hills, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol saw a vehicle with expired registration in traffic. The officer stopped the vehicle and met with the driver, J. Lipscomb. The officer learned that J. Lipscomb driving privileges were suspended. J. Lipscomb was arrested. The officer identified the sole passenger of the vehicle, D’Andre J. Lipscomb, 25, of Country Club Hills, and learned that he had an active warrant out of Pike County for his arrest. He was also arrested and taken to the NLPD. Both posted bond and were released.

  • Juliana S. Jimenez, 25, of Joliet, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol saw a vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer pulled the vehicle over and met with the driver, Jimenez. The officer learned that Jimenez had a suspended driver’s license. Jimenez was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.

Nov. 18

  • Damian E. Burnett, 23, of Chicago Heights, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Burnett. The officer learned that Burnett had a suspended driver’s license. Burnett was arrested and taken to the NLPD. He posted bond and was released.

  • Maribel Gamboa, 54, of Mokena, was charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway, in reference to a retail theft complaint. The officer met with the an employee and learned that Gamboa had taken approximately $389 worth of merchandise from the store. Gamboa was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.

Nov. 20

  • Leslie M. Ahrens, 30, of Bourbonnais, was charged with DUI. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to the area of U.S. Route 30 and Cedar Road at approximately 1:44 a.m. for a report of a vehicle with extensive front-end damage and deployed air bags. The officer was told that the vehicle was traveling slowly down the road. The officer located the vehicle in the parking lot of Speedway, 301 W. Maple St. The officer met with the driver, Ahrens, and learned that Ahrens was driving under the influence of alcohol. Ahrens was arrested and taken to the NLPD. She posted bond and was released.
  • Derrick W. Wolf, 22, of Country Club Hills, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle with improper registration in traffic. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Wolf. The officer learned that Wolf had two outstanding warrants, one from Cook County and one from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Wolf was arrested and taken to the NLPD. While at the NLPD, the officer learned that the vehicle Wolf was pulled over in was reported as stolen out of Colorado Springs. Wolf was charged with possession of stolen motor vehicle. Wolf was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility in Joliet.

Nov. 21

  • Jamie Haro, 25, of Melrose Park, was charged with driving while license suspended. According to police reports, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer pulled the vehicle over and met with the driver, Haro. The officer learned that Haro had a suspended driver’s license. Haro was arrested and taken to the NLPD. He posted bond and was released.
