Summer Sun Shines on Trinity Services Triumph 5K Run/Walk
Whether you run or walk, celebrate your triumphs at the Chicago Southland 4th Annual Trinity Triumph 5K Run/Walk.

The Trinity Services annual 5K Run/Walk is a chance to celebrate triumphs big or small. The stories of individual success are at the heart of what Trinity Services, Inc. does for people with disabilities.
Kris Pasquini, a spokesperson for Trinity Services, Inc., welcomes everyone to get involved. The 4th Annual Trinity Triumph 5K Run/Walk is June 22 at the New Lenox Village Commons, 1 Veterans Parkway.
Registration check-in will be from 8 -8:45 a.m. with warm-ups at 8:30 a.m. The race begins at 9 a.m. The race steps off heading westbound from the Village Commons and then south on Gear Drive. It winds through the Wildwood subdivision to Illinois Highway and then heads east to Wildwood Drive. Heading north on Wildwood Drive the runners make their way back to Haven Avenue and return to the Village Commons. To view the route, visit the Triumph Run website.

For those who would rather take a shorter route, a 1K option is available. The course is certified by USA Track and Field and the race will be chip-timed for accurate results. Awards will be given to male and female top performers in each group.
This year is particularly exciting, said Pasquini. "There's a group from Weight Watchers that's walking the route." One woman is celebrating the loss of 50 pounds. Someone else is celebrating her college graduation. "The whole idea behind it is to celebrate your triumphs big or small and to encourage others along the way," she added.

The race has inspired a good deal of creativity too, she added. Trinity's own Fritters for Critters in Wilmington has put together a Strut Your Mutt pet costume contest. It will be at the pavilion in the Village Commons. It's a chance for everyone to get into the act.
She encourages participants to shoot photos, laugh and involve every member of the family.
Participants can register online at Trinity Triumph or by calling 815-717-3750. Pre-registration entry fees are: for ages 13 and older, $25; ages 12 and younger, $15; 4 and younger are free.
