Teen Charged In New Lenox Vehicle Burglaries

A 15-year-old was arrested and charged by New Lenox Police early Wednesday morning.

NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox Police arrested and charged a 15-year-old in connection with a string of motor vehicle burglaries. Police said the burglaries happened in the early morning hours Aug. 4 in the Windemere West subdivision, according to Deputy Chief Micah Nuesse.

Nuesse said the teen temporarily resides in New Lenox with a relative.

Nuesse further noted that it appeared that all the reported burglaries and attempted burglaries, approximately eight of them, were to motor vehicles that were left unlocked.
