Harry Porterfield Features New Lenox Wood Working Shop Program Coordinator

Mike McCutcheon, program coordinator for New Lenox Wood Working Services, was interviewed by Channel 2's Harry Porterfield.

Mike McCutcheon, program coordinator for New Lenox Wood Working Services, brings his multi-tiered experience in reaching the spirit, drive and soul of an individual to help men with physical and mental disabilities.

In an interview aired Oct. 12 with CBS' Harry Porterfield, McCutcheon shared the inside scoop. It's not solely about helping these men learn the trades or gaining work experience.

"What's most important is the joy the place brings to the people who work there," McCutcheon told Porterfield.

McCutcheon's disabled son, Steve, works with his dad at the wood shop where bird houses and benches are made, the report said.
