Unlawful Use Of A Weapon, Fleeing, DUI: New Lenox Police Reports
New Lenox police reports for Dec. 10 through Dec. 17.
The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest or charge is not an indication of guilt.
Dec. 12
- Matthew T. Mikos, 42, of New Lenox, was charged with DUI. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Foxwood Drive for a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival the officer saw a man who matched the description of the reported suspicious person. The person was driving a vehicle away from the area. The officer met with the person, who stopped the vehicle when the officer arrived. The officer identified the person as Mikos and learned that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. Mikos was taken arrested and taken to the NLPD. Mikos posted bond and was released.

- Kevin P. Prikler, 34, of New Lenox, was charged with DUI, driving while license revoked and fleeing/eluding a peace officer. According to police reports, an officer was conducting stationary radar and saw a vehicle speeding in traffic. The officer attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle fled from the officer. The vehicle then crashed into a building. The officers took the driver of the vehicle, Prikler, into custody. The officer learned that Prikler had his driving privileges revoked and was driving under the influence of alcohol. Prikler was taken to the NLPD. Prikler was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
Dec. 15
- Edward Williams, 18, of Oak Forest, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance, and Giovanni Ramirez, 22, of Joliet, was charged with no valid drivers license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. According to police reports, an officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle stuck in the grass off the roadway near U.S. Route 6 and Interstate 355. The officer investigated the scene and met with Ramirez and Williams. The officer learned that Ramirez was driving the vehicle, lost control and ended up off the roadway. The officer found that Ramirez did not possess a driver license and did not have insurance for the vehicle. During the investigation, the officer learned that Williams was in possession of a firearm and a controlled substance, Alprazolam. Ramirez and Williams were arrested and taken to the NLPD. Ramirez posted bond and was released. Williams was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

- Lorenzo Lopez-Sanchez, 22, of Joliet, and Rodrigo Lopez-Hernandez, 30, also of Joliet, were both charged with retail theft. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Walmart for a report of a retail theft. The officer met with the complainant and learned that Lopez-Sanchez and Lopez-Hernandez had stolen items valued at approximately $346.83 from the store. Lopez Sanchez and Lopez-Hernandez were arrested and taken to the NLPD. Lopez-Sanchez and Lopez-Hernandez posted bond and were released.
- Caitlan M. Ridge, 29, of Joliet, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. According to police reports, an officer was dispatched to Silver Cross Hospital for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officer met with the parties involved and learned that Ridge had an active warrant out of Cole County for her arrest. Ridge was arrested and taken to the NLPD. Ridge posted bond and was released.
