Village Of New Lenox: “Fit And Strong!” Free Older Adults, Evidence-Based, Falls Prevention Program
"Fit and Strong!" is an award-winning, multi-component, evidence-based physical activity program for older adults.

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Safe Community Coalition and its Older Adults Falls Prevention Task Group is pleased to announce that “Fit and Strong!” will be held once again this summer thanks to the support of New Lenox School District 122.
“Fit and Strong!” is an award-winning, multi-component, evidence-based physical activity program for older adults. This eight-week program combines flexibility, strength training, and aerobic walking with health education for sustained behavior change among older adults.

This summer’s class will be held at Spencer Pointe/Crossing School, 1711 S. Spencer Road in New Lenox. Classes will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. from June 6 until July 29. So, the first three classes will be June 6, June 8 and June 10, and the last three classes will be July 25, July 27 and July 29.
So, if you would like to get some exercise (at your own pace and ability level), meet new friends, and have some fun, register for this free class today.
