Will County Nearly Done With Transportation Plan, Public Workshops Set

The three workshops will be held in New Lenox, Romeoville and Monee.

WILL COUNTY — Will County is nearing completion of its "Our Way Forward 2050," a long-range transportation plan that will shape infrastructure investments and priorities through 2050. The draft plan is available for review from May 20–June 20, and officials are seeking the public's input.

Input can be shared online at ourwaywill.co or by attending an upcoming open house.

Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant and the Will County Division of Transportation will also host three community workshops, to be held in Romeoville, New Lenox, and Monee.

  • Romeoville | May 27, 5 to 7 p.m. | The Ovation Center, 349 S. Weber Rd.
  • New Lenox | May 29, 5 to 7 p.m. | Village Hall Community Room, 1 Veterans Pkwy
  • Monee | June 5, 5 to 7 p.m. | Firemen's Park Building & Pavilion, 5218 W. Court St.

Throughout this planning process, community input has been essential, Will County officials said.

The plan addresses priorities community members have identified, including safer streets, improved transit options, better freight management, and sustainable transportation investments.
