Deadline Approaching for Niles Arts & Culture Project
Submit your application by Aug. 31.

The Niles Public Arts & Culture Advisory Council is welcoming entries for a $1,000 arts project grant. Entries should fit the 2016 theme, “It’s Possible Here: Reflections on the American Dream,” and must be free and open to the public.
Categories for art projects may be in:
- Performing Arts – Projects relating to theater, dance and/or music.
- Visual Arts – Projects involving drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, film and/or photography.
- Literary Arts – Projects that include creative writing (poetry, short stories, etc.).
- Cultural Arts - Projects relating to cultural expressions and themes (culinary, ethnic, etc.).
Applicants would need to submit a description of the project, detailed budget, preferred venue and project dates, approval for all copyright material and submit the complete application to Cathy Spadoni at cms@vniles.com.

The application period ends on Aug. 31 at midnight. Projects would need to be presented before April 30, 2017, the end of the village’s fiscal year.
