Morton Grove Street Sweepers Start Summer Schedule

MORTON GROVE, IL - It may not yet feel like summertime, but the season's street sweeping schedule is officially in place in Morton Grove.

Street sweeping changed May 1 to the year's summer schedule, in which only one street sweeper will be cleaning all village streets.

The machine will be able to span all local areas within a two-week time frame, officials said in a community alert. The work will follow the regular sweeping day every other week.

That said, residents needing a specific, additional run-through cleaning can ask for one via Morton Grove Public Works at 847-470-5235. Crews will work to accommodate those requests, officials said.

The regular weekly sweeping schedule will resume in October.
