Niles Mom Accused of Attacking School Principal: Report

Officials say a Niles woman attacked the principal of Culver School earlier this year, the Journal & Topics reports.

The newspaper reports Kathleen Mahoney, wife of school board member James Mahoney, was supervising an after-school activity in February when the incident occurred. Mahoney and Prinicpal Peggie Maniscalco were discussing an issue regarding Mahoney’s son when Mahoney allegedly grabbed Maniscalco’s face saying, “You have to take care of this!” No charges were filed, but Mahoney has since been banned from Culver School property for one year, the newspaper reports.
