Niles Plan Commission To Look At Whether Buildings Can Break Rules On Height

- Fed up with how Milwaukee Avenue looks? And how it's hard to bike around town, and sometimes walk around town? Come to an Open House Wednesday--planners want to hear your suggestions to make Niles more bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly.
- Watch out for mosquito spraying Monday night, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., in Morton Grove and Niles west of the Edens Expressway and east of Harlem Avenue (more or less), and from Niles' southern limit to Golf Road.
- The Niles Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 7 p.m. Monday to consider a nail salon, a medical clinic and exceeding code for building heights on Howard Street and Golf Road.
- Something to look forward to--a free concert Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 by dthe Juke Box Band.
