Police Blotter: Armed Robbery at Retail Store

The police department has provided the following reports. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Sept. 12
Armed Robbery - Police arrested Anthony Ortega, 28, of Chicago, and Henry Prinz, 20, of Chicago, after they took numerous bottles of alcohol and exited a store at 5900 Dempster Ave. without paying for them. When confronted by a store employee they brandished a knife and threatened the employee. Court date is scheduled for Sept. 21.

Sept. 14
No Valid Driverโ€™s License - Police arrested Franchesca Bonilla, 20, of Elgin, after she was stopped and found to be driving without a driverโ€™s license. Her court date is scheduled for Nov. 2.

Sept. 11
No Valid Driver's License - David Delgadillo, 23, of Des Plaines, was arrested after he was found to be driving without a driverโ€™s license. His court date is scheduled for Sept. 28.

Sept. 10
Suspended Driverโ€™s License - Police arrested Nikolaos Georgakopoulos, 21, of Lincolnwood, after he was found to be driving on a suspended driverโ€™s license. His court date is scheduled for Sept. 30.

DUI - Kenneth Doma, 21, of Skokie, was stopped and arrested for DUI. His court date is scheduled for Oct. 21.

DUI - Police arrested Young Jae Lee, 42, of Valporaisd, IN., for DUI. Suspect was given a court date of Oct. 4.

Sept. 11
Battery - Police arrested Adrian Abonce, 20, of Skokie, after he ripped up and threw a citation at a Police Commander. His court date is Oct. 21.

DUI - Police arrested Anikka Coleman, 33, of Wheeling, after the subject was discovered asleep in a running vehicle and later arrested for DUI. Court date is scheduled for Oct. 4.

Sept. 12
DUI Alcohol - Kazimierz Kozak, 62, of Chicago, was arrested for DUI after being involved in an accident.
Court date is scheduled for Oct. 14.

Sept. 9
Retail Theft - Eva Filipiuk, 49, of Glenview, was observed taking perfume and exiting the store without paying for it.
Her court date is scheduled for Oct. 21.
