Miscellaneous crimes in Morton Grove.

The following items are taken from the Morton Grove Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Nov. 7
Criminal Damage - Someone burned an American flag that was posted in a womanโ€™s front yard on the 5000 block of Crain St.

Nov. 8
Criminal Trespass โ€“ An unknown offender entered a hotel room located on the 9000 block of Waukegan Rd., which was rented by another person, and then left before the police arrived.

Oct. 17
Theft โ€“ Unknown offender(s) took multiple air conditioning units from several businesses on the 5000 block of Dempster St.

Nov. 1
Battery - Victim stated that the offender chest bumped him during an argument. The investigation showed no probable cause to make an arrest.

Theft โ€“ Someone took a pack of cigarettes and exited a store on the 6900 block of Dempster St. without paying for them.

Nov. 1
Scam Alert โ€“ Someone mailed a check to the victim which later bounced. The victim also sent a money order to the offender as instructed. The victim later realized it was a scam.

Theft - Halloween decorations were removed from a victimโ€™s front yard on the 9000 block of Oriole Ave.

Nov. 6
Arson - A plastic barrel located in the rear of a business on the 6000 block of Dempster St. was set on fire.

Nov. 4
Theft from Motor vehicle - Unknown offender(s) took the victimโ€™s briefcase from his unlocked vehicle at the 9000 block of Waukegan Rd.

Nov. 4
Motor Vehicle Theft - Unknown offender(s) took the victimโ€™s vehicle from his driveway on the 7000 block of Beckwith Rd.ย
