Police Blotter: Suspended License, Perfume and Bedsheet Theft

The police department has provided the following reports. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

"Readers are reminded that an arrest by the police does not constitute a finding of guilt, and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty," according to a statement from police Cmdr. Michael Fujara. All information comes directly from police reports.

Suspended Driverโ€™s license - Police arrested Dea Kwon, 38, of Mt. Prospect, after he was stopped for a traffic violation at 8300 Lehigh Ave. and found to be driving on a suspended driverโ€™s license. He was given a court date of Sept. 16.

Aug. 12

No valid driverโ€™s license - Emperatriz Juarez-Castro, 47, of Skokie, was arrested at the intersection of Waukegan Road and Emerson Street after police stopped her for traffic violations and discovered she was driving without a driverโ€™s license. She was given a court date of Sept. 28.

Retail Theft - Ihar Dzikhtstar, 41, of Skokie, concealed perfume and cologne from a retail store located at 6900 Dempster St. and left without paying for the items. He was given a court date of Aug. 30.

Retail Theft - Mary Diana Tait, 28, of Norridge, concealed multiple items of clothing and exited a store at 7200 Dempster St. without paying for the items. She was given a court date of Aug. 30.
