Get your hands dirty by planting seeds in biodegradable pots at the Prairie Plant-a-Thon, hosted by the Niles Public Library, on Oct. 1 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at 6960 West Oakton St., Niles.

Here’s your chance to dig in the dirt, inside! We will plant native prairie seeds harvested from the Niles Community Garden in biodegradable pots to start a Rain Garden of your own! You will get a pot to bring home. For families (children under 3rd grade must have their parents/guardians with them). Drop in any time between 10-11:30 a.m.
