Safe and Sound, Marine Returns Home

U.S. Marine veteran and Morton Grove resident Alex Brown was welcomed home with open arms last week, as reported by the Morton Grove Champion.

The Niles West graduate was the honored guest at the Morton Grove American Legion, Post No. 134 meeting on Sept. 22.

Brown served tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan as a communications officer. He joined the Marines in 2006. Although Brown had numerous encounters with danger, his family members said they are glad to have him home, safe and sound, according to the Champion.
