Customer service: A lot of companies want their customer service reps to work from home instead of a call center. The 24-hour nature of customer service lets a lot of reps set their own hours, especially from home. One company now hiring will give reps the opportunity to work hourly for up to 80 hours a week while earning bonuses and incentives in the process.

Online trader: Online traders work with firms to trade stocks and bonds, all from home. These jobs typically have a modest base salary with possibilities for performance-based incentives. This one, for example, with a New York-based company pays a $50,000 base, but “once a trader establishes a track record with the firm, they will be trading with enough capital to potentially earn over $100,000 per year.” The job asks for previous experience in and knowledge about finance but doesn’t necessarily require a college degree.

Data entry: Data-entry jobs are pretty straightforward and require little training or experience. Companies need their data formatted correctly and hire people to do so. These jobs can be purely performance-based and work-as-you-go. This job pays you per units entered, with bonuses for company performance.
