Is This Your Snake? Police Find Wandering Constrictor
Niles police found a snake in the 7800 block of North Oketo Avenue Wednesday afternoon and were still looking for its owner Thursday night.

NILES, IL — A roughly five-foot long snake was found without its owner Wednesday in Niles, police officials said in a social media statement.
As of Thursday, the snake's owner still had not been found, a spokesman for Niles police told Patch.
The reptile was found at around 3 p.m. in the 7600 block of North Oketo Avenue. While several people responded to the department's social media post stating they were the owners of the snake, police said none of the leads have panned out.

Officials said the snake appears to be a kind of boa constrictor.
