NORTHBROOK, IL — Lily Genender loves basketball. The 7-year-old Northbrook resident was recently gifted a special wheelchair that will help her live her hoops dreams.

The wheels are courtesy of the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (Lake Forest). Genender was one of seven athletes to be gifted with adaptive sports equipment, donated by The Hartford.

The wheelchair, and its specialized wheels, will give Genender more freedom to shoot and score. She received the wheels for the wheelchair Tuesday at GLASA's camp in Libertyville.
