Breast Cancers Survivors Sing Saturday Night

The Sing to Live Community Choir will perform “Sounds of Motown” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St.

General admission tickets are $20, $15 for seniors and students, complimentary for breast cancer survivors.

The choir's founder, Melinda Pollack-Harris, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 before going through various treatments, and eventually joined a survivors' support group, the Glenview Star reports.

Her support group included art and cooking programs, but she told the Glenview Announcements "I was surprised none had music for healing. So I started one."
