Faulty Wiring Could Zap Northbrook Electrician's License

Northbrook-based Soyfer Electric Contractors Inc. could lose its business license after safety code violations emerged in a house the company worked on.

Northbrook-based Soyfer Electric Contractors Inc. could lose its business license from the village after "extreme violations" of safety codes were found in a recently built Northbrook Home, the Chicago Tribune reports.

The wiring at the home in question was performed by a subcontractor, who has since been fired, while business owner Boris Soyfer was on vacation, he said at a recent meeting of Northbrook's electrical commision, according to the Chicago Tribune.
