Home Invasion and Attack on Shermer Road
The following arrest information was supplied by the Northbrook Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Home Invasion
On Aug. 9, a resident on the 1400 block of Shermer Road walked into his kitchen and found a man in a ski mask wearing a black zip up hoodie and black sweat pants with lettering on the pant leg, according to police. The resident shouted at the man, who moved toward the front door, police say. When the resident tried to confront the man, the resident got cut with what he believes may have been a box cutter, according to police. The offender then fled on foot, police say.
DUI
On Aug. 11, officers responding to an accident on the 2000 block of Waukegan Road found car debris and a fluid trail leading away from the accident scene, according to police. Officers followed the trail to an office parking lot on the 1400 block of Techny Road where, Samual Grobart, 20, of Deerfield, was trying to hide the vehicle, according to police. Officers arrested and charged him with DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and improper lane usage, according to police.
Retail Theft
On Aug. 8, a business on the 100 block of Skokie Highway reported about 500 small plastic containers were stolen by the occupants of a green Ford Explorer, according to police. Reported loss is about $245.00.
