Jeff Cahill, Northbrook Native, Hollywood Actor, Dead at 44
The 'Blues Brothers' actor was found dead in his L.A. apartment last month.

Jeffrey Garold Cahill, born in Northbrook on Dec. 19, 1968, died in Los Angeles on Jan. 18, according to the actor's IMDB page. He was 44.
Cahill was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment after suffering from an apparently untreated case of abdominal bleeding, the Northbrook Star reports.
After symptoms of illness had persisted for a couple of weeks, Cahill visited an emergency room the night before his death, but left because the wait was too long, according to the Northbrook Star.

In addition to acting, Cahill was an artist whose paintings have been purchased by other celebrities, according to his Chicago Sun-Times obituary.
Cahill's funeral was held at St. Norbert's Church in Northbrook, and donations in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society, according to the Sun-Times.
