More Layoffs Expected at Northbrook-Based Allstate

Northbrook-based insurance company Allstate is expected to lay off more employees than initially filed with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The workers are among about 400 in Illinois who received notice in July of pending layoffs. Other area companies expected to make cuts include Grainger in Lake Forest and KubeTech Custom Molding in Buffalo Grove, according to the Tribune report.
