Northbrook Bars Employees, Contractors from Carrying Guns on Job
The Illinois State Rifle Association has a lawyer looking into the recently-enacted rule.
Northbrook employees and contractors are not allowed to carry a gun or other weapon while on village property or private property when they’re working, according to an article in the Northbrook Star.
The rule was enacted last week by the village’s Public Safety Committee. It has already draw both praise and ire, including from the executive director of the Illinois State Rifle Association, who said the group is having a lawyer look into the rule before planning next steps, according to the Northbrook Star.
