Northbrook Man Charged with DUI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident After Crash

He was also charged with using a cell phone while driving and not having insurance.

The following information is from the Northbrook Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.:

DUI, leaving the scene of an accident

Peter Seung Won, 20, of the 2500 block of Cobblewood in Northbrook, was involved in an auto accident at Pfingsten Road and Walters Ave at 1:30 p.m. July 28, and fled from the scene followed by victim. Officers located the defendant driving at Shermer Rd and Brentwood where they stopped his vehicle. Officer’s determined he was driving under the influence and he was placed under arrest for DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, use of a cell phone while driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and no insurance. He was released on $2,000 bond and given an Aug. 14 court date.

Driving with a suspended license

Officers stopped the vehicle driven by Shaun M. McConnell, 27, of the 500 block of Circle Drive in Fox Lake at Dundee and Skokie Highway at 8:30 p.m. July 25. Officers learned his driver’s was suspended and he was placed under arrest. He was released on $1,500 bond and given an Aug. 21 court date.

Beth C. Memolo, 54, of the 1000 block of Longaker in Northbrook, was stopped for a traffic violation in the 500 block of Dundee Road at 4:30 p.m. July 26. Officers learned his driver’s license was suspended. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and unlawful use of a cell phone, and was released on $1,500 bond and given an Aug. 21 court date.
