Northbrook Veterans Help Make TV Documentary
'Passing the Torch' airs every day on cable channel 17.

Military veterans in Northbrook’s American Legion Post 791 took part in a documentary called Passing the Torch of Freedom, a 45-minute film that combines stories and photographs by Northbrook veterans, along with interviews with Glenbrook North students, the Northbrook Star reports.
"World War II vets are becoming extinct. We are losing so many and there is so much unknown about what they did, if we don’t get their stories now, they’ll be gone forever,” Northbrook's Peter Stockslager, a Vietnam vet, told the Northbrook Star.
The film airs at 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. every day on cable channel 17 until September. AT&T U-verse customers can find it by tuning to channel 99 and searching for Northbrook-NCTV.
