Coordinators Gear up For 7th Annual Northcenter Garden Walk
It's that time again! Plans for Northcenter's Annual Garden Walk have been unveiled.

Nothing says summertime like the Northcenter Garden Walk, and it will be here before you know it.
Northcenter Neighborhood Association members announced last week their plans for the 7th Annual Northcenter Garden Walk, which will be held on Sunday, June 23, from noon to 5 p.m. Â
The self-guided tour will begin at Alexander Graham Bell School, 3730 N. Oakley St., where maps will be available to all participants.Â
A suggested $5 donation will benefit the Northcenter Common Pantry, which receives about $1,000 in proceeds each year. Admission for all senior citizens will be free.
“Northcenter gardens are beautiful, creative and inspiring," Karen Carter Lynch, Northcenter Garden Walk organizer and NNA board member said, in a news release. "Our annual Garden Walk welcomes residents and visitors alike to tour our yards for ideas or simply to enjoy the uniqueness of our cityscapes."
The event will also feature live music, art, a scavenger hunt for kids, and an environmental kiosk for educational learning, the release says.Â
Among the many bands will be local favorite Nobody Nobody Sent, who has played at the walk since its inaugural year.
T-shirts and umbrellas will be on sale to support the Northcenter Neighborhood Garden Club.
