Eco-Friendly Montessori School Moving Into Former Family Cafe
What used to be a Lincoln Avenue family-friendly cafe with a soundproof kids' area will soon become an environmentally friendly Montessori school.
A shuttered family coffee shop in Northcenter will soon be replaced with another kid-friendly realm.
Prairieland Montessori is moving into the space formerly occupied by Family Grounds Cafe at 3652 N. Lincoln Ave. Yellow posters in the windows boast full-day Montessori programs serving infants through kindergarteners.
They also tout the motto, "growing young minds organically," and state that the learning environment will be "eco-friendly."Â
Prairieland representatives did not immediately return calls this week seeking additional information about the timeline for the new school. Those interested in the program can leave a voicemail at 773-801-3652.
Family Grounds Cafe closed Dec. 21, about three years after it opened.
