High School Students: Earn a $1,000 Scholarship By Serving as Honorary Student Board Member

The Chicago Board of Education is looking for a high schooler to serve as a representative for student issues.

Lane Tech High School students can apply to be an honorary member of the Chicago Board of Education.

The board is looking for one representative for all of Chicago Public Schools for the 2012-2013 school year.

Applicants must be a junior or senior class officer, student council officer and hold a 3.0 GPA with an attendance rate of 95 percent or better.

Students that are interested in applying should submit an application and resume to the Central Office no later than 5 p.m. on Oct. 10.

The Honorary Student Board Member will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.
