Hundreds Vote Early in North Center at Welles Park

Early voting started on Monday, and hundreds are already flocking to the ward’s designated station to cast their ballot before the Nov. 6 election day rush.

As of Thursday, 1,345 people headed to the Welles Park at 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave and voted early. That’s the 20^th highest early voter turnout compared to the other wards in Chicago, with the 19^th district – which covers the Beverly neighborhood on the South Side – coming in first place. 

Early voting goes until Nov. 3, according to the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners website, and voters can use any early voting site in the city.

Registered voters need to show a government-issued photo identification.

44th Ward - Merlo Library, 644 W. Belmont Ave. Hours: Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

46th Ward - Truman College, 1145 W. Wilson Ave. Hours: Monday thrrough Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

32nd Ward - Bucktown-Wicker Park Library, 1701 N. Milwaukee Ave. Hours: Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

47th Ward - Welles Park, 2333 West Sunnyside Avenue
Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
