Northcenter Residents Are Off to the Races

This week in Northcenter, it's off to the races.

Thursday marks the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce's Annual Arlington Racetrack Day—the perfect excuse to ask for a shift off at work.

The event starts at 11 a.m. July 25 at O'Donovan's, where a bus will cruise out at 11:30 a.m. Attendees will be dropped back off around 5 p.m.

The bus ride, lunch and beverages on the bus are included in the cost—$45 for chamber members and $60 for everyone else.

"And sorry, you have to bring your own gambling money!" Chamber representatives said.

The more the merrier for the excursion, which has a maximum capacity of 50 people. Coordinators asked that interested participants register online.
