Second Sundays Free Concert March 9

CHICAGO: Andrew Marlin will be performing a free Concert at Concordia Church on Sunday, March 9 at 12:00 PM.

Marlin will be performing a program of arrangements on the bassoon that concertgoers can enjoy. The family-friendly concert takes place on Sunday, Mar. 9 at noon at Concordia Church: 3855 N. Seeley Ave., Chicago. Tickets are not required.
“Second Sundays" is a FREE, monthly recital series occurring on the second Sunday of each month at noon. This series showcases exceptional Chicago talents from the City’s vast local musical community, while offering an enriching and diverse range of musical genres and styles. Whether you're a classical music enthusiast, jazz aficionado, or lover of contemporary music and music theatre, you’ll find something for you in this series.

Andrew Marlin has been actively freelancing throughout Chicago and can be heard playing on a variety of musical platforms throughout the city. He primarily performs with Opera Festival Chicago, Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago, Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, and as a Core Artist with CHAI Collaborative Ensemble. As a passionate music educator, Marlin has built up many school music programs throughout the northwest suburbs and has created a full-time teaching studio. Marlin also serves as the Bassoon Instructor for Chicago Summer Opera’s Orchestra Program where he gives masterclasses, chamber music coachings, instructional workshops, and lessons to their bassoon students.

Marlin is the founder and music director for his own Summer Bassoon Workshop where he introduces young bassoonists to the world of music. All the music in the workshop are his own arrangements of some of the best music written across all of time: orchestral classics, opera scenes, ballet music, film scores, and more.
