Secret Menu, Ramen Burger Debuts at Buzz Bar in Northcenter
'Hipster Poutine' and nine burgers have found their way into a new restaurant on Irving Park Road.

A new Northcenter burger joint promises Kuma's-quality burgers without the noise.Â
That restaurant is Buzz, burgers, barrels and beer, in the old Blue Stem Martini Lounge space at 1935 W. Irving Park Rd. Â
Buzz is a bring-your-own "gourmet burger experience," which opened Sept. 16.

Nine burgers grace the menu, ranging from a stroganoff burger with braised beef short ribs and egg noodles on a pretzel bun, to the Alamo: ground pork and chorizo with a black bean puree, guacamole, Habanera aioli and a grilled corn relish.Â
The Midwest also gets its first taste of the Ramen Burger—made with ramen noodle buns—that gained almost cronut levels of popularity in New York this summer.Â

All burgers are made from organic, locally-sourced grass fed beef, owner Marcel Somfelean told Eater Chicago.Â
But if patrons don't see something that induces drool, they can ask for the secret menu. One Yelp reviewer raved about the doughnut burger, which used the sweet treats to bookend a beef patty.Â
Aside from burgers, crispy pigs ears and a "Hipster Poutine" are available for starters.Â
The 50-seat restaurant plans to include lunch and booze services—living up to the "barrels and beer" in its name—in the coming months.Â
