Tellin' Tales Theatre presents "What's Yours Like?" on Nov. 7
The innovative 10-member Improv Team returns to Mrs. Murphy's on Friday with Openers by Brad Klein and Emmanuel J Ross Hartway
Tellin' Tales Theatre takes its mission "to shatter barriers between the disabled and non-disabled worlds through the transformative power of personal story" to the world of improv.
The TTT Improv Team will be back at Mrs. Murphy's and Sons, 3905 N. Lincoln in Chicago on Friday, November 7 at 7pm. ASL will be provided for this performance. General admission is $15; students/people with disabilities is $12. Buy tickets at https://www.simpletix.com/e/what-s-yours-like-tickets-240668 or at the door.
"What's Yours Like" is inspired by a theme developed by the audience at the start of each show. Then, improvisers with and without disabilities leap into action and develop humorous and unpredictable narratives in real-time. The result matches the spontaneity and unpredictability of life, making each show a unique experience. "Mine is shriveled." "Mine vibrates." "Mine hangs to the left."... "What's yours like?"

Brad Klein is a proud CODA (Child of Deaf Adults). He performs comedy in both English and American Sign Language (ASL), all about growing up in both the Deaf & Hearing communities. Brad has performed all over the world, including Laugh Factory, Comix Roadhouse, and the Floodwater Comedy Festival. His funny videos with his Deaf parents have generated millions of views online. Fun fact, Brad's childhood dream was to own a s’mores factory so he could eat them whenever he wanted.
Emmanuel J Ross Hartway is a gender-fluid and autistic writer, improviser, standup comedian, actor, singer… other stuff who just moved to Chicago in March. They are mainly a writer and improviser, but after a few months of reluctantly trying to do standup, they now enjoy it enough to feel like they can win at being funny. Or if not, at least leave people feeling like they’ve learned possibly too much about her and the world at large by the end of the set.
