Great American Dog And Cat Show Rolls At Tinley Park Convention Center

TINLEY PARK, IL — Dog lovers are invited to see 200 breeds as they strut inside the Tinley Park Convention Center Jan. 2–4 at the Great American Dog Show. New this year, the weekend features the addition of the Great American Cat Show.

The dog show features 200 American Kennel Club (AKC) recognized breeds competing for Best in Breed, Best in Group and Best in Show. Highlights include:

• Competitive Puppy Show: Watch hundreds of the sweetest furry babies from 4 to 12 months, compete and showcase their cuteness.
• Imaginative, Creative Grooming Competition: Beauty, attention to detail, bold colors, patterns and perfection are on display in this entertaining and ambitious competition.
• Feline Exhibition and High-Level Competition: Watch and learn as expert judges assess, rank and award.
• Top Notch Competitions with World Renown Judges throughout the weekend including Best of Breed, Best in Group and Best in Show.
• Ask the Experts offering educational programming throughout the weekend to learn about the latest information to care for, feed, train and understand your pet.
• Boutique Shopping with numerous vendors showcasing the best of the best pet care products: treats, custom collars, fun collectables, personalized gifts and more.
• Next Level Kids Zone featuring a larger, more amped up area for kids of all ages featuring; face painting, coloring areas, stuffed animal obstacle course, and experts to teach kids how to care for their pets.

The show is held at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Drive. Hours are:

• Friday, January 3 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
• Saturday, January 4 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
• Sunday, January 5 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
