Child Shot In Accidental Discharge At Oak Forest Gun Range: Cops

OAK FOREST, IL β A boy was shot when a gun accidentally discharged Saturday afternoon at Eagle Sports Range in Oak Forest, police told area news outlets. The incident happened after 4:30 p.m. at the gun range, at 5900 W. 159th St.
The child was in the showroom at the gun range with his father when a bullet ricocheted and struck him in the abdomen, police told NBC Chicago.
The boy's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to ABC Chicago.
