Driver In I-57 Rollover Crash Sunday Cited For DUI: State Police

The 24-year-old Chicago man suffered serious injuries in the crash, Illinois State Police said.

OAK FOREST, IL — A Chicago man was cited for driving under the influence following a rollover crash on I-57 near Oak Forest and Tinley Park late Sunday night, Illinois State Police said.

State police were called to I-57 southbound near at 167th Street around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. An initial investigation showed a white Chevy sedan was heading southbound, when its driver ran off the road and rolled the vehicle, state police said Monday.

The driver, identified as Keith Cobbins, 24, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Cobbins was cited for DUI, driving on a suspended license, improper lane usage, failure to wear a seatbelt, and operating an uninsured vehicle, state police said.
